The cottage is situated on a family-owned working Dairy Farm surrounded by green fields and wildlife on the outskirts of the Historic Walled City of Derry/Londonderry, 10 minutes from the City Centre and Donegal.

The beautiful location is in the middle of the Glendermott Valley and has panoramic views of the Sperrins mountains, an area of outstanding Natural Beauty and the Derryveagh Mountains in Donegal.

Drumcorn farm cottage is located in the middle of the Glendermott Valley on the Townland of Drumconan/Drumcorn - or the Gaelic name 'Drumcorin' meaning "The Ridge of the Conan" (Conan was a contemporary of the Famous Finn McCool).

Drumcorn has been a working dairy farm since the late 1800's when the milk was taken by horse and cart into the city and sold from door-to-door.

Drumcorn is available all year round, and we welcome corporate business. There is parking available on the property for two vehicles.

A water filter is in the dining room for visitors use, refilled regularly.

Parking

The large, private car park beside the house is 300 yds from the road, therefore very safe.

Cars can be left here while guests visit the Giants Causeway.

Bicycles can be stored in a garage overnight

Where we are

Portballintrae is a village on the North Coast of N. Ireland. It has a harbour where children can canoe and go crabbing, and there is a little beach with many rock pools for them to explore.

One can walk along Runkerry Beach, over the sand dunes or along the Bush river, and reach the Giants Causeway in 40 minutes. The village also has a shop, children's play area and tennis court.
